Starting Problems (continued)
Problem
Engine cranks, but does not start.
The glow plug circuit does not operate properly.
Engine cranks (but should not) with the traction pedal
out of the neutral position.

General Run Problems

Problem
Battery does not charge.
Engine stops during operation.
Multi Pro 5800
Possible Causes
Fuse (15 amp) is open.
Main relay is faulty.
Fusible link to fuel stop solenoid pull coil is faulty.
Ignition switch is faulty.
The engine glow plug circuit does not operate properly.
Engine is malfunctioning (see Chapter 3 -- Kubota
Diesel Engine).
Fuel system is malfunctioning (see Chapter 3 -- Kubota
Diesel Engine).
Engine may be too cold.
Wiring in the engine glow circuit (see Chapter 8 --
Foldout Diagrams) is loose, corroded or damaged.
Fuse (15 amp) is faulty.
Main relay is faulty.
Engine glow plug(s) is (are) faulty.
The glow relay or glow plug controller is faulty.
Fusible link harness at the engine starter motor is
faulty.
Neutral switch is out of adjustment or faulty.
Neutral switch wiring is faulty (see Chapter 8 -- Foldout
Drawings).
Possible Causes
Wiring to the charging circuit components is loose,
corroded or damaged (see Chapter 8 -- Foldout
Drawings).
Alternator belt is slipping or damaged.
Alternator is faulty.
Battery is faulty.
Ignition switch is faulty.
Fuel stop solenoid is faulty.
Engine is malfunctioning (see Chapter 3 -- Kubota
Diesel Engine).
