Service Manual
CPS and Quick-Connect Problems
Cannot remove the CPS from
the Controller.
Cannot connect the hose to the
QC fitting.
QC has a leak.
Intensifier Troubleshooting
Use the information in the subsequent sections to troubleshoot the Intensifier.
To prevent personal injury, do not connect power or operate the
Intensifier while servicing Intensifier outside its case. The
rotating parts in the booster pump assembly move with
extremely high torque and can start unexpectedly if power is
connected.
Electrical Problems
The Intensifier does not turn on.

Problem
System is pressurized.
Dock interlock not working
correctly.
Wrong fitting.
The QC fitting is worn.
Seal is damaged or is not fully
tightened.
Warning – Finger Amputation Hazard
Problem
Not plugged in.
Power not available.
Fuse blown.
Power module or power circuit
board is bad.

Action
Vent pressure. Once the CPS is
removed, clean or repair the
interlock.
Vent pressure. Once the QC is
removed, clean or repair the QC
fitting.
Replace seal. See the Service
Manual for instructions.
Action
Make sure the unit is plugged in
and power is available. If the
unit is plugged in, use the
instructions in chapter 4 to
check and change the fuse. If
the fuses are OK, replace the
power module and power supply
circuit assembly. See Chapter 5
for Intensifier part replacement
procedures.
