The individual ports on the switch are identified with the PORT parameter
in the command line interface of the AlliedWare Plus management
software. The format of the parameter is shown in Figure 13.

The three parts of the PORT parameter are described in Table 10.

Description
Identifies the switch's ID number. Please
review the following:
- The default value is 1.
- Allied Telesis recommends using the
default value for stand-alone switches.
- A stand-alone switch that was previously
a stack member retains its ID number
from the stack.
- The Switch ID LED on the front panel of
the switch always displays "0" when the
VCStack feature is disabled.
Identifies whether ports are base ports or
ports on an XEM2 Line Card. Slot number
0 indicates base ports and slot number 1
indicates ports on a line card. Refer to
Figure 14 on page 39.
Identifies a port number.
