Xedge Chassis Systems
Non-redundant power supplies and single station battery source:
Xedge 6645 chassis provides a 9-position terminal block for connection to -48Vdc batteries. For
installations using one battery, connect the battery to the terminal block using 10-gauge wire:
1. Turn off the POWER switch of the power supply.
2. Connect the positive side of the battery to the BATT +V A terminal.
3. Connect the negative side of the battery to the BATT -V A terminal.
4. Use 10-gauge wire to jumper the BATT +V B terminal to the unlabeled terminal immediately
to the right of it.
5. Use 10-gauge wire to jumper the BATT -V B terminal to the unlabeled terminal immediately
to the left of it.
Redundant power supplies and dual station battery source:
Xedge 6645 chassis provides a 9-position terminal block for connection to -48Vdc batteries. For
power source redundancy, connect two batteries to the terminal block using 10-gauge wire:
1. Turn off the POWER switch of the power supply.
2. Connect the positive side of one battery (battery A) to the BATT +V A terminal.
3. Connect the negative side of the same battery (battery A) to the BATT -V A terminal.
4. Connect the positive side of a second battery (battery B) to the BATT +V B terminal.
5. Connect the negative side of the same battery (battery B) to the BATT -V B terminal.
