Removing the front bezel
3. Enter the alerts show current or alerts show current-detailed
command which displays messages indicating fan failure. A sample output is
shown.

4. Enter the enclosure show fans command to check the status of each fan.
Record the failed fan. A sample output is shown. In the output below the Level
column indicates the RPM of the fan as low, medium, and high. The Status
column indicates the status as OK, Unavailable, and Failed.

Note
You must remove the shelf's front bezel to gain access to the internal components.
The bezel is required for EMI compliance when the instrument is powered up. Remove
it only to replace or add disks or fans.
Refer to
Figure 17
on page 37 while performing the procedure that follows.
Procedure
1. If the bezel has a lock, insert the key that shipped with your enclosure into the
lock, and turn the key to unlock the bezel.
2. Press the two latch buttons on the bezel surface to release the bezel from the
cabinet.
3. Pull the bezel off the cabinet and put it on a clean, static-free surface.
