Viennese apple strudel

Preparation time: 70 minutes
For 2 strudels
Ingredients
1 packet of ready-made filo pastry
(4 sheets for 2 strudels)
1500 g sharp dessert or cooking apples
100 g fine breadcrumbs
50 g butter (for the breadcrumbs)
150 g sugar
50 g raisins
A little cinnamon (to taste)
50 g melted butter (for brushing the
strudel pastry sheets with)
50 g melted butter (for brushing on the
strudel when ready to bake)

Preparation
Place two filo pastry sheets on top of
each other so that they overlap slightly
on a clean tea towel. Arrange another
two sheets in the same way.
Peel and core the apples and slice
thinly.
Add the butter and the breadcrumbs to
a frying pan and fry lightly.
Brush the pastry sheets with melted
butter and sprinkle with the
breadcrumbs fried in butter.
Mix the apples with the sugar and the
rest of the ingredients and distribute
over the pastry sheets.
Now roll up the strudel, brush with
melted butter, place on a baking tray
and bake until golden.
