Pasta bake

Preparation time: 80–90 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
150 g penne pasta
15 g butter
2 onions, finely diced
1 red capsicum, diced
100 g carrots, diced
100 ml vegetable stock
150 g crème fraîche
75 ml milk
Pepper
Garlic salt
300 g beef tomatoes, coarsely diced
100 g ham, diced
100 g fetta cheese with herbs, diced
For browning:
100 g grated Cheddar cheese

Saucepan
Ovenproof dish, approx. 30 cm
Preparation
Cook the penne in boiling salted water
on the cooktop until al dente. Drain
well.
Fry the onions gently in the butter. Add
the capsicums and carrots, and fry
briefly with the onions, then pour over
the stock.
Mix together the crème fraîche, milk,
pepper and garlic salt. Stir into the
vegetables, and bring to the boil briefly.
Transfer the penne, tomatoes, ham and
fetta cheese into an ovenproof dish,
mix in the vegetable sauce, sprinkle
with Cheddar and bake until golden.
