Temperature adjustment time of media before printing

Temperature adjustment time of media before printing
When media are moved from the storage room to the print room which has a different
temperature and relative humidity, media must acclimatise during a certain period. During this
acclimatisation period, keep reams closed until you are ready to load the paper trays.
Acclimatisation period
The table below helps you to determine the acclimatisation period of stacked, closed cartons with
media. The indicated times refer to the situation that you transport a set of cartons using a pallet.
When you transfer the cartons or reams one by one you can decrease the adjustment time.

Example
A pallet with 40 cartons, containing 200 reams in total, is ordered.
The transport takes place by truck without any heating. Temperature is minus 10
stored directly in the print room which has a temperature of 18
must remain in the print room during 75 hours before the media can be used.
To reduce the acclimatisation time, cartons can be stored individually. For one carton with five
reams, the acclimatisation time is reduced to 34 hours.
