9-97. Removal And Innalladon Ofllantry. (JlA·2.... 180. Serial Nos. 24-1 to :!4-102 iacl.) The battery is
located in the engine companment at the upper left side of the firewall. The battery may be removed by
the followin, procedure:
a. Remove the left side and top cowl.
b. Remove the cover of the box by removiftl the win, nuts
at
the fore and aft sides of the cover.
c. Disconnect the banery cables.
NOTE
Always remove the Jround cable
flnt -and insuIl
last to prevent
accidental shorr circuirin, or arcing.
d. Lift the battery from the box.
e. The battery may be installed in reverse order of removal.

Alwavs remove the around cable fint and instaU last to prevent

Lift the battery from the box.
e. The battery may be inn.alled in reverse order of removal.
