Tum the drive c:oupliDl in the left hand direction until the pointer reaches the
required
number of
degrees retard. the retard breaker points should open a.t
chiS
point.

Rota.te drive coupler. until cam follower is on the high paint of the cam lobe. Measure contact
clearance. It must be 0.018 or the points must be replaced.
CAUTION,
If cam scrcw was removed be sure to reinsta1l Uld torque to 2S inch
pounds.
