hole and align the chamfered tooth of the distributor

Ascertain that the main breaker pOiDts open at this point ud the pointer indicates 10

on the plate or "E"
gap in the breaker compartment.
e. Without moviDJ the drive coupling trom the "E"

or 10· after neutral position, bend the points
back to the 0

f. Vsm, Data Table VllA·1I determinc the dqree retard of the

checked. Nonnally the
correct reutd settiDJ
will be stamped in bottom of breaker companmcnt for convenience.
g. Turn the drive coupliftJ in the left hand direction until the pointer reaches the required number of
derrees retard, The rewd breaker pointS should open at this point.
h. Rotate drive coupler until cam foUower is on the hirh point of the cam lobe.

CAUTION
If cam screw was removed. be surc to reinstall and torque to
