IES Interface Commands
Description
This command enables the sending of interface ID options in the DHCPv6 relay packet.
The no form of the command disables the sending of interface ID options in the DHCPv6 relay
packet
Parameters
ascii-tuple — Specifies that the ASCII-encoded concatenated tuple will be used which consists of
ifindex — Specifies that the interface index will be used. (The If Index of a router interface can be
displayed using the command show>router>interface>detail)
sap-id — Specifies that the SAP identifier will be used.
string — Specifies a string of up to 32 characters long, composed of printable, 7-bit ASCII
characters. If the string contains special characters (#, $, spaces, etc.), the entire string must be
enclosed within double quotes.
remote-id

config>service>ies>if>ipv6>dhcp6>option
Description
This command enables the sending of remote ID option in the DHCPv6 relay packet.
The client DHCP Unique Identifier (DUID) is used as the remote ID.
The no form of the command disables the sending of remote ID option in the DHCPv6 relay packet.
server

server ipv6z-address [ipv6z-address...(up to 8 max)]

Description
This command specifies a list of servers where DHCPv6 requests will be forwarded. The list of
servers can entered as either IP addresses or fully qualified domain names. There must be at least one
server specified for DHCPv6 relay to work. If there are multiple servers then the request is forwarded
to all of the servers in the list. There can be a maximum of 8 DHCPv6 servers configured.

ipv6-address — Specifies the IPv6 addresses of the DHCP servers where the DHCPv6 requests will

the access-node-identifier, service-id, and interface-name, separated by "|".
