Description on handling the adaptor (including charger)

Handle the adaptor properly.
Observe the following to prevent fire, electrical shock or
injury due to generation of heat or fire in the adaptor.
• Be sure to supply AC100V to the AC adaptor.
• Do not use the DC adaptor or car adaptor in a car
that does not employ a DC 12V or DC 24 V battery
with minus grounding.
• When the fuse of the DC adaptor is blown, replace it
with a specified new one (1.0A).
• When the fuse of the car adaptor is blown, replace it
with a specified new one (1.25A).
• Do not short-circuit the charge terminals with safety
pins or clips. Doing so may generate heat or fire due
to a large overcurrent. Be careful not to damage the
adaptor.
• Do not use the adaptor in a place where it might get
wet by water, rain, sea water or animal urine. Doing so
may generate heat or fire, resulting in accidents or
trouble (such as poor charge).
• Do not charge the battery in a place where inflammable
gases are generated to prevent accidents due to fire.
• Do not use the adaptor if the power cord is damaged.
Doing so may cause electrical shock, generation of
heat or fire.
If the inside of the cigar lighter socket is
dirty with ash or the like, the plug may
generate heat because of poor contact.
Be sure to clean it before use.
Do not cover or wrap the adaptor with a
cloth or a thick bed quilt.
Doing so may cause fire or trouble when heat is
generated.
Do not damage the power cord.
Doing so may cause fire or electrical shock.
• Do not reconstruct or damage the power cord.
• Do not put anything heavy on or pull the power cord.
• Be sure to hold the main unit of the adaptor when
pulling it from the power outlet.
Do not touch the power plug with wet
hands.
Doing so may cause electrical shock.
Do not short-circuit the charge terminals
of the charger while the plug is connected
to the power outlet or cigar lighter socket
(car). Do not touch the charge terminals
with your hands, fingers or any part of
your body.
Doing so may cause fire, trouble, electrical shock or injury.
Do not disassemble or modify the adaptor.
Doing so may cause fire, electrical shock or trouble.
Keep away from humidity, water or
direct sunlight.
To prevent fire or electrical shock, do not leave the
adaptor in the following places.
• Humid or dirty places.
• Place where it can get wet or affected by sea water.
• Hot place (more than 60°C) such as near the window
or in a car under direct sunlight.
Place the charger on a stable platform
while charging. Do not cover or wrap the
charger with a cloth or a thick bed quilt.
Doing so may cause fire of trouble when the Digital
Mova is disengaged or heat is generated.
When cleaning the charger, be sure to
unplug the adaptor. When you are not
going to use it for a long time, unplug the
power plug from the power outlet.
Not doing so may cause fire, electrical shock or trouble.
Unplug the DC adaptor from the cigar
lighter socket (car) when not in use.
If plugged in, the battery of the car may be drained.
