Erasing Data from an HDD or SSD by Running the badblocks Command
Step 1 Log in to the server holding the hard disk to be erased.

The badblocks command erases data by writing all 0s on the storage device based on the
command parameters specified.
The methods described in this section are for reference only. You can also use other
methods to erase storage media data.
