Troubleshooting
DTC 2-4 - Without Front Passenger,s Airbag
CAUTION: Whenever the ignition switch is ON llll, or
has be6n turned OFF for less than ihreo minutes, be
careful not bump tha SRS unit; the sirbag could acci_
dentally doploy and cau3€ damago or iniuries.
Try to rep.oduco the SRS indicator light:
1. Era€e the DTC memory {s6e page 24-15).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON 0t), and check thatthe SRS indi_
cator light comes on for about six seconds and goes off.

Chock for a short to power in th. SRS mjn h.rno3ii
1. Disconnect the battery negativd cable, then disconnect
the positive cable, and wait for three minutes.
2. Disconnect the driver.s airbag 2p connector from the
cable reel 2P connector (see psge 2+1.1).
3. Disconnect thg SRS main harness lgp connector from
the SRS unit.
4. Feconnect the battery positive cable, th€n reconnect the
negative cable.
5. Connect a voltmeter between th€ No. 10 (+) terminal ot
the SRS main harness 18p connector ano grouno.
6. Turn the ignition switch ON ll, and moasure voltage.
There should be 0.5 V or less.
7. Connect a voltmeter between the No. 14 (+) terminal of
the SRS main harness 18p connector and ground, and
measure voltage. There should b6 0.5 V or less.
