Discharge Pipe Protection Control

This discharge pipe protection control is used to protect the compressor internal temperature
against a malfunction or transient increase of discharge pipe temperature.

INV compressor (See *2):
1-step per 30 sec.
*1: HTdi represents a value obtained by correcting the discharge pipe temperature (Tdi) of INV
*2: For INV compressor steps, refer to information on page 45.
[STD compressor]
Normal operation
VRVIII R-410A Heat Pump 60Hz
The following control is performed for each compressor.

• HTdi>266°F
OR
• HTdi>248°F continues
for a period of 90 sec.
Compressor system (See *2):
Restart standby: 10 min.
(up to 2 times for a
period of 100 min.)
compressor with an outdoor temperature.
• HTds>248˚F continues for a period
of consecutive 5 min. or more.
OR
• HTds>275˚F
After a lapse of 10 min.
• HTdi< 230°F
• A lapse of 20 sec.
INV compressor (See *2):
1-step up per 20 sec.
