Procedure
1. Place the SD flash card with new image files on it into the SD slot. The label on the SD card is facing up.
2. Launch MX7UPDATE.EXE in My Device | Storage Card.
3. English Windows CE OS: Verify the Non-English and Windows Mobile checkboxes are not checked.
4. Non-English Windows CE OS: Verify the Windows Mobile checkbox is not checked and the Non-English checkbox is
checked.
Important: If a failure occurs during the update, DO NOT RESTART (coldboot). Follow the instructions on the screen to
Exit the update utility. Restart the update utility.
5. Tap Start to start the update. The Non-English checkbox is dimmed when the Update is processing. The Windows
Mobile checkbox is dimmed when the Update is processing. Tap Exit to exit without updating.
Tap the Yes button to restart immediately. Tap the No button to restart later.
When the flash update is complete, remove the SD card (if desired), replace the rubber barrier and replace the main battery.
The unit automatically performs a Restart.
Check the OS update version by selecting Start | Settings | Control Panel | About | Software tab.
Note: If the application displays "Update OS Image Failed" or "Update Boot Loader Image Failed", do not Restart the
system manually. Perform a warm boot, then try reflashing again. Restarting will cause an MX7 Tecton system crash,
since there is no valid image in the system.
