How to set the route alert

The route alert sets an anchor watch alert on each route point (waypoint) in the route
in use. When your vessel goes out of the anchor watch alert range at a route point, the
audio alert sounds. To use this alert, [ANCHOR ALERT] must be [ON]. (Refer to the
paragraph 5.7.1.)
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the left button.
3. Select [ARRIVAL/ANCHOR ALERT], then press the left button.
4. Select [ROUTE ALERT SETTING], then press the left button.
5. Select [ON], then press the left button.
When your vessel goes out of the alarm range at a route point, the audio alarm
sounds. If selecting [OFF], the anchor watch alarm alerts you when your vessel
goes out of the alarm range at the last waypoint in the route. (i.e. [ANCHOR
WATCH ALERT] is [ON].)
6. Close the menu.
To deactivate an alert, select [OFF] at step 5.

How to set XTE, border alert

The XTE (cross track error) alert warns you when your vessel is off its intended
course. When the XTE alarm is active, two red dashed lines mark the XTE alarm area.

The border alert marks an area, defined by two waypoints, which you do not want to
cross. The audible and visual alerts will be released when your vessel crosses the
area defined by the two waypoints. When the border alert is active, the red dashed
lines mark on either side of the setting line.
