Data Backup

This section provides the method for data backup.
6.4.1

Data backup automatically

You can backup the data (own ship's track, other ships' track, mark/line, route/way-
points, setting status) automatically when the power is turned on. There are two meth-
ods for auto-backup.
• USB flash memory
• Internal memory
Note: The auto-backup function causes the startup procedure to take longer than nor-
mal.
How to backup the data periodically
To save the data into the USB flash memory automatically, insert the USB flash mem-
ory to the data port before the power is turned on.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [MEMORY REC./PLAY.], then press the left button.
3. Select [AUTO BACKUP], then press the left button.
4. Select [USB MEMORY], then press the left button.
5. Select [ON], then press the left button.
6. Close the menu.
The data will be registered to USB flash memory when you turn the power is on.
Note: The backup data will be transfered after the instruction message at power on is
disappears. The transferring message appears while the backup is in progress.
How to backup the data to internal memory periodically
To save the data into the internal memory when you turn the power on.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [MEMORY REC./PLAY.], then press the left button.
3. Select [AUTO BACKUP], then press the left button.
4. Select [INTERNAL MEMORY], then press the left button.
5. Select [ON], then press the left button.
6. Close the menu.

Data backup manually

There are two methods to manually save the data backup.
• USB flash memory
• Internal memory
How to backup the data to USB memory
1. Insert the USB flash memory to the USB port.
