9. To complete creating the route, press the left button twice at the destination
point.
A light blue line will be drawn between the own ship and the first waypoint and
green line will be drawn for the rest of route. These lines show the shortest dis-
tance to each waypoint and arrow marks on the line show the direction of route.
The distance, bearing and TTG (factory default) will be displayed on the upper
area of the screen. The quick route is saved to the route list with a name of
"Q<RTE".
Note: The older quick route will be deleted after a new one is registered.
"QP<001" will be deleted from the quick route when a new waypoint is set.

How to set the registered waypoint as a destination

There are four methods to set the registered waypoint as a destination.
• Select the waypoint on the display
• Select the waypoint from the [WAYPOINT LIST]
• Select the waypoint by entering the waypoint name (for the numeral name only)
• Select the waypoint from the log list.
Note: The following procedures can be operated only when the setting of [ROUTE SE-
LECT] is set as [IN].
How to select the waypoint on the display
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ROUTES/WAYPOINTS], then press the left button.
3. Select [SET GOTO METHOD], then press the left button.
4. Select [ONE POINT], then press the left button. (Refer to "How to select the set-
ting method of quick points" on page 5-38).
5. Press the CURSOR ON/OFF key if the cursor is not shown.
6. Press the GO TO key.

How to select the waypoint from the waypoint list
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ROUTES/WAYPOINTS], then press the left button.
3. Select [WAYPOINT LIST], then press the left button.
4. Select the waypoint to set as a destination from the list, then press GO TO key.
[GOTO: WAYPOINT xxxxx] will be displayed below the window title [WAYPOINTS
LIST]. A light blue line will be drawn between own ship and a waypoint. The dis-
tance, bearing and TTG (factory default) will be displayed on the upper side of dis-
play unit.
5. Press the right button to close the menu.
How to select the waypoint by entering the waypoint name
1. Press the CURSOR ON/OFF key if the cursor is not shown.
