Chapter 12 How to Use (Special Case)

12-1. Copy Coding

The procedure "Copy Coding" is described below.
1) Read the coding data from the ECU to be removed. And save it to a file.
-> 12-3-1 – 12-3-2
2) Read the customization data from the ECU to be removed. And save it to a file.
(ETACS ECU Only)
-> 12-4-1 – 12-4-2
3) Exchange the ECU.
4) Write the chassis No. or VIN to installed ECU.
(This procedure is not need since chassis No. or VIN will be written automatically to the
ECU when the ECU, which has never been written the chassis No. or VIN, is installed in
the car. (Except engine ECU))
-> 12-2-1 (Engine ECU in the car with immobilizer)
-> 12-2-2 (other)
5) Write the saved coding data in procedure 1 to installed ECU.
-> 12-3-3
6) Write the saved customization data in procedure 2 to installed ECU. (ETACS ECU Only)
-> 12-4-3
