4.1 Overview – Cabling Connection Types
Comtech EF Data's SLM-5650A Satellite Modems use a number of different cables. Each cable
type is typically dedicated to a specific mode of operation.
Not all of these operational interface types may be available.
The European EMC Directive (EN55022, EN50082-1) requires using properly
shielded cables for DATA I/O. These cables must be double-shielded from end-
to-end, ensuring a continuous ground shield.
