Rosemount 3DMultiVision enables usage of a function on groups of vessels, even across multiple sites.
Rosemount 3DMultiVision works in conjunction with the Rosemount 5708 to collect data from all
monitored vessels in all sites and geographic regions, to combine and merge the data, and to generate
and analyze various types of reports.
Basically, both 3DVision and 3DMultiVision have the same capabilities, the one major difference is that
the 3DMultiVision allows the user to view measurements from all vessels in one screen while in the
3DVision, it is possible to view only one vessel at a time.
7.1.1

Server-client architecture

The Rosemount 3DVision/3DMultiVision software is comprised of two components: a server and a
client.
The Rosemount 3DVision Server runs on a designated computer and is connected directly or remotely to
every Rosemount 5708 in a single, local site or in multiple remote sites. The data is stored on the server
computer which generates the reports, collects and stores readings, and transfers the information to all
connected Rosemount 3DVision clients. The server computer should be running and logging at all times.
The Rosemount 3DVision Client is a graphical and interactive program, allowing the user to receive
online measurement data, view a 3D visualization of the material stored in the vessels, add or remove
sites, vessels, and Rosemount 5708, and manage alerts and reports. The Rosemount 3DVision Client
supports several authorization levels of different privileges such as full-management authorized system
administrators, technicians, and view-only operators.
7.1.2

Multi-client

The Rosemount 3DVision software is designed to work in a multi-client environment. Authorized users,
connected to the same LAN or via external connections (WAN), have access to both real-time and
historical data for all devices connected to the server.
