This appendix provides information required for mounting, connecting, and setting-up the Rosemount
LinkPro. Read this information before operating and keep this manual accessible near the device.

Intended audience
This appendix is intended for trained personnel working with Rosemount LinkPro in conjunction with
other Emerson

Safety
This section provides safety instructions when using Rosemount LinkPro.
Authorized personnel
All operations described in this manual must be carried out by trained personnel authorized by the
operator. The required personal protection equipment must be worn while working with the device.
Appropriate use
Operational reliability is ensured if the instrument is used in accordance with the specifications manual
and possible supplementary instructions.
Due to safety and warranty reasons, any invasive work on the device not included in this manual may
only be carried out by personnel authorized by the manufacturer. Unauthorized conversions or
modifications are explicitly forbidden.
The internal GSM modem antenna should not be mounted outside the Rosemount LinkPro box.
Warning about misuse
Inappropriate or incorrect use of the instrument may cause application-specific hazards, e.g. vessel
overflow or damage to system components through incorrect mounting or adjustment.
