The horizontal axis refers to the distance (m or feet) of the echo from the device and the vertical axis
refers to the energy of the echo (there are no units for the energy).
Echo Curve viewer window options:
Show Fuzzy: Checking this option will show the Fuzzy Grade of the selected echoes on the chart. For
more information about Fuzzy and what it is, contact your local Emerson technical support.
m / ft: Show the distance axis in meters or feet.
Map out False Echoes: checking the map out checkbox allows the user to select a section in the echo
curve in any of the frequency tabs and to open the false echo mapping dialog box directly with the
selected frequency and conditions to easily map out selected false echo. See
page 112
High/Medium/Low... tabs: Show the echo curve result of each beam, the tab will be disabled if the
beam was not active when the Echo Curve analysis was performed.
All Beams tab: Show just the grade of each beam in a single chart
Chart Legend (Echo, Threshold, Auto False Echo, User False Echo and Fuzzy): Show or hide each of
the selected graphs. Fuzzy will show or hide the small square on the selected echoes in different heights
depending on the fuzzy grade value.
Selecting the scanner to view: In this pane, a tree view of Site-Vessel-Device will appear according to
the project, expand or collapse the tree view and select the Rosemount 5708 to view its echo's result.
It is possible to set the page size (number of files) to view, default value is 50 files. Values can be between
10 to 250 files.
In the Online pane it is possible to switch between pages and to download the files to the local computer.
Download Files tab: This tab holds all the echo curve files that were viewed by the user and were
automatically downloaded to the Rosemount 3DVision Client computer.
When switching to the downloaded Files tab, it is possible to Select Local folder to save the files and to
browse to local folder by right-clicking on one of the files.
