The Unix and Email Download File
When the job has finished and depending on the criteria you have specified, either a
Unix file or a .txt attachment to an email will be created. The files will be delimited
with a "~" (tilde) character and contain the information shown below.
For patient counts:
• Header Record:
o NHAIS System Cipher
o Extract Date (CCYYMMDD format)
o Organisation Type
o Organisation Code
o PCO Match Flag.
• Counts Records:
o Count of the number of patients satisfying the selected criteria.
• Trailer Record:
o NHAIS System Cipher
o Extract Date (CCYYMMDD format).
For detailed patient listings:
• Header Record:
o NHAIS System Cipher
o Extract Date (CCYYMMDD format)
o Organisation Type
o Organisation Code
o PCO Match Flag.
• Patient Records:
o Code of PCO of Registration
o Corresponding PCO Name
o Code of PCO of Residence
o Corresponding PCO Name
o National Practice Code
o Corresponding Practice Name
o GP of Registration – local code
o GP of Registration – national code
o NHS Number
o Surname
o Forename(s)
