Additional Registration Utilities
Directions
1. Ask the Practice for a reconciliation download disk of their patient
database. For a merged Practice, a separate floppy disk should be obtained
for each Partnership which makes up the Practice.
2. Once the download disk has been obtained, use the LV screen to clear
down any existing reconciliation data relating to this Practice.
NOTE 
3. On the LC screen set the "Data Release" field for the Practice to N and
stop any work which may affect the patient lists of the GPs in the Practice,
e.g. on the LX, ID or DL screens. If the LF screen is to be used to create
the floppy disk to go back to the Practice ensure the "Upload By
Kermit/HFS/Network (F/H/N)" field is set to H.
4. Load the Practice's download disk onto the NHAIS system using either
the LF-R Screen or by performing a Kermit transfer via the CJ Screen.
5. Access the reconciliation upload facility using the Bespoke menu.
If any of the following messages (described in Error Messages below)
are displayed when the upload facility is first accessed then no further
action will be permitted until the problem has been resolved:
• NO DATA TO BE PROCESSED
• INVALID DOWNLOAD DATA
• AJ-GPDR OUTSTANDING ON AJ-Q SCREEN
• RECONCILIATION IN PROGRESS.
If any of the message above are not displayed, the name of the senior GP
of the Practice will be displayed. Pressing the S key will initiate the
processing of the download data for the Practice.
6. If the message RECONCILIATION UPLOAD DATA CREATED (also
described below) is displayed on the screen once processing has
completed then the LF-T screen or CJ-4 (for Kermit) should be used. The
floppy disk containing the upload data for the Practice should then be
created in the usual way.
D-16 Appendix D
Please ensure a reconciliation has not been started
