AJ-PREC – Reconciliation Data for NSTS (Patients)
The NSTS Project requires all HAs to have a facility for providing a download of
patient data for reconciliation purposes. The reconciliation function within the NSTS
system includes patient details from live, deducted and selected historic data. The
reconciliation process involves two stages: the first stage selects the patient data, and
the second stage allows the data to be written to tape.
AJ-PREC consists of two screens:
• Screen 1 permits patient selection criteria to be specified, and allows an entry
to be established on the Analysis Job Queue for AJ-PREC.
• Screen 2 is used to write to tape or delete a previous run. When writing to
tape, the job cannot be suspended.
NOTES
When using AJ-PREC screen 1, an empty range will select all data. For
example, if one range is entered (e.g. for patient surnames), and the
remaining options are left blank, the output file will contain data for all
patients in that surname range, irrespective of date of birth, acceptance
dates, etc.
If no selection criteria are specified, details for all patients will be
included in the reconciliation. However, it is not advisable to run this job
for the whole database as this will have implications on the space available
for use by the NHAIS system.
