The Unix and Email Download File
The download and email file uses the following format for counts information. Each
field within the record is delimited with a '~' (tilde) character.
• Header Record:
o NHAIS System Cipher
o Extract Date (CCYYMMDD format)
o List of GPs included within the extract file, each '~' delimited.
• Count Records:
o PCO Code of Residence – this is blank if the patient's PCO of
o Corresponding PCO Name
o National Practice Code
o Corresponding Practice Name
o GP of Registration – local Code
o GP of Registration – national Code – if applicable
o Count of the number of patients for that GP of registration and PCO of
• Trailer Record:
