Practice Closed Lists – Introduction
New functionality has been provided within the NHAIS system to allow operational
staff to set up and maintain information regarding Closed Lists for Practices, as
required by the New GP Contract.
Three new screens have been created within the Registration system to provide this
new functionality.
• The PC-C Screen – this is for setting up a new Practice List Closure for a
selected practice.
• The PC-CH Screen – this is used for viewing the history of Practice List
Closures for a selected practice.
• The EL Screen which is used for viewing a summary of all non-historic
Practice List Closures, selectable for the whole database, for responsible PCOs
only, for fringe PCOs only or for a specific PCO code.
Details of all patients who have been registered against Closed Practice Lists may be
viewed or exported from the PC-C, PC-CH or EL screens.

In addition to the new Registration screens, the ID Screen, Analysis Job BOAJ and
Analysis Job CLDX have been amended to provide functions described below.
• Additional validation checks for patient registration (ID, AJ-BOAJ), to deal
with new registrations being made against a practice where the Practice List is
closed.
• Four new exclusion codes – ACL, ACLF, SCL and SCLF – have been added
to AJ-BOAJ.
• An option to download summary details of Practice List Closures through the
existing job AJ-CLDX.
