PERATION OF THE
When the physical marks have been made, they are presented for final approval. This is to ensure
that the physical marks coincide with the electronic marks.
The pen mark should align within the illuminated 'L' shape of the Mark Indicator. If the physical
marks are acceptable, press the Next button on the pod to continue.
If the marks are not acceptable, press the Reject soft key. The review of the slide is cancelled.
Note
: If the marks are rejected, the slide may be reviewed again at the Review Scope (the entire pro-
cess is repeated). The marks from the marking pen should be removed before viewing the
slide again.
Check the Slide Registration
If all the marks have been accepted, the stage positions the slide exactly at the first cell spot align-
ment location. The slide registration is checked to confirm that there has been no slide movement or
loss of stage position during slide review.
If the edge of the cell spot aligns with the illuminated mark indicator, press the Next button on the
pod. The stage moves to the second cell spot edge position.
If the alignment is acceptable press the Next button.
If either of the positions do not align with the mark indicator, press the Reject soft key. The slide
review will be cancelled. Any marks should be removed.
