CAUTION: Do not grasp the microscope by the stage or the optics.
Do not rest the stage against your body as this may misalign the stage.
4. Grasping the scope by the bottom of the housing, gently tilt the microscope over onto its back
cover. (Refer to Figure 5-3.) A soft material, (such as paper, cloth or cardboard) may be placed
under the microscope to avoid scratching it or the desk top.
5. Using the supplied #2 Phillips Head screw driver, loosen the screw of the illuminator assembly
door. Open the door to access the lamp bracket. (Refer to Figure 5-4.)
Note:
The screw is mounted to the door - loosen the screw enough to get the door open, but do not
remove it entirely.
