MANUAL SLIDE REVIEW
ThinPrep slides may be manually reviewed and marked at the Review Scope. Manual Review is
always an available option. It will be required in certain conditions, which include:
• Slide not imaged (the slide has not been imaged by the Image Processor)
• "Slide Data Error" message (the slide was imaged but there is an error in the data that makes
it unavailable for Auto Review)
• Slide rejected by the Image Processor during imaging (too dense, too scant, too many bubbles,
etc.)
• No communication with the server is available
• Other problems such as a slide physical defect, incorrect labeling or incorrect coverslipping
Accessing Manual Review Mode
Manual Review mode may be accessed at Login display (via the menu) or at the start of a new slide
review during Auto Review.
Display when

At the Login ID display, press the
Offline soft key.
Press the Offline soft key when the Enter Login display appears (either at power up, or via the
menu)
