To proceed to the next field of view, press the Next button on the pod. Press the Prev button on the
pod to go back to the previous field of view (unless you are at the first one). If the objective is at 40X
when the Next or Prev button is pressed, the objective will automatically return to 10X before pro-
ceeding.
The object(s) of interest are not necessarily presented in the exact center of the field of view. The joy-
stick can be used to move the stage for viewing and to position an abnormality in the target zone of
the mark indicator for electronic marking. Screen the entire field of view!
Note:
Be sure to position the object so that the physical mark will not obscure it.
Press the Objective button on the pod to toggle between 10X and 40X magnification.
Press the Mark button on the pod to electronically 'tag' an area for physical marking at the conclu-
sion of slide review. The mark indicator highlight will turn from white to green when it has been
selected. Pressing the Mark button a second time will cause the mark indicator to turn from green to
white and the electronic mark to be removed.
Note:
Electronic marking can only be done while at 10X. The mark indicator is not visible at 40X.
When all 22 fields have been viewed, an audible beep will sound. The console display indicates the
Autolocate function is complete.
