C
RECOVERABLE SYSTEM ERRORS
These are errors from which the system automatically recovers. Review Scope operation continues
uninterrupted. No message is signaled to the operator. The errors are logged in the Error Log and
may be viewed from the console display or at the user interface at the Image Processor.
No operator action is required.

MISCELLANEOUS
User preferences do not stay as they were selected.
Preferences aren't stored until Logout has been performed.
Confirm the correct user ID was entered at Login.
Fiducial marks presented out of the field of view.
Ensure the slide is properly loaded and registered against the back and left side of the slide
holder.
Try adjusting the focus knob, in case the slide is out of focus.
The Mark button on the pod does not work.
The electronic mark is only made when the magnification is 10X. Make sure the objective is at
10X. Make sure the nosepiece movement is not obstructed.
Check that the pod button being pressed is actually configured to be the Mark button. (See
Button Setup, page 4.24.)
Make sure the illumination intensity for the mark indicator is high enough to be seen. (Lower
right side of the microscope.)
Check the Koehler illumination, particularly the setting of the field iris diaphragm. (See Koe-
hler Alignment, page 5.8.)
The electronic mark indicator is not visible.
Make sure the illumination intensity for the mark indicator is high enough to be seen. (Lower
right side of the microscope.)
The electronic mark indicator is only displayed at 10X magnification. It will not be visible at
40X.
The user preference "Mark Turns OFF" has been selected. The white mark indicator is not vis-
ible during autolocate moves. (See Mark Indicator, page 4.20.)
