6.2 Review Scope Operator's Manual
Possible Cause
Network connection cannot be made. Cabling
not connected.
The Image Processor attempted to image the
slide and did not succeed. (For example,
excessive bubbles, too dense, etc.) The slide
ID is in the Server database.
An incorrect version of software was detected
at power on.
That Login ID has already been entered and a
review session is open.
Login ID doesn't exist.
Login had wrong number of digits.
Login ID has been retired.
Wrong accession ID format.
During calibration, the joystick was not
deflected greater than 50% in each direction.
Joystick malfunction.
A test slide must be loaded during prefer-
ences scan/speed test movements.
Corrective Action
Check that the network cable is securely plugged
into the rear of the Review Scope.
If the error persists, contact Hologic Technical Sup-
port.
Perform a manual review of the slide.
Contact Hologic Technical Support.
If a wrong ID has been mistakenly entered, press
the Back softkey and enter a different ID. If a sec-
ond session is meant to be opened with the same
ID, press the Continue softkey.
• Retry using a valid Login ID.
• Consult your Lab Administrator.
• Use the correct 7-over-7 label format and OCR-A
font (if using OCR)
• Manually type in all 14 digits via the console key-
pad (if it is OCR format)
• Check that the barcode formats are within limits.
• Retry joystick calibration. Be sure to press the
joystick fully to the extent of its movement in each
outward direction. (See Joystick Calibration page
4.4.)
• If the error persists, contact Hologic Technical
Support.
• Load a slide and press Next on the pod.
