8. Return the lamp fixture to the holding bracket, seating it flat against the bracket. Tighten the
thumb screws. Confirm that the wires come out from the top of the fixture (Refer to Figure 5-4).
Be sure the wires are not pinched when the thumb screws are tightened.
9. Close the access door and tighten the Phillips Head screw to hold it shut.
10. Carefully set the scope upright. Test the new bulb by plugging in the microscope power cord and
turning on the illuminator power switch.
11. Replace the collector filter, eye pieces and communication cables.

REPLACING THE FUSES
There are user-accessible fuses located in the microscope. If the fuses must be replaced, follow the
outline below:
WARNING: Instrument Fusing
1. Turn off the microscope (if it is on).
2. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Remove the power cord from the receptacle on the rear of the microscope.
4. Using the small (#1) slotted screwdriver provided with the Review Scope, carefully pry open the
cover of the power entry module as shown. (Refer to Figure 5-6.)
5. Gently pull down the cover. It is hinged at the bottom end.
6. Insert the screwdriver under the fuse holder to pull it out. (Refer to Figure 5-7.)
