6. Details
• CPU. The central processing unit that controls the operation of the controller board.
• SD Card Slot. Service slot for firmware version updates, moving applications to other SD cards, and
downloading/uploading NVRAM contents.
• SDR SDRAM. The image memory for the printer functions where image compression, image rotation
and other operations are done.
• Board Option Slots. One slot (CN710) is available for the optional HDD unit and another slot
(CN703) is available for either the IEEE 802.11a/g, IEEE 1284 Interface Unit or Gigabit Ethernet
Board.
• Flash ROM. Stores the program. Maximum capacity: 32 MB.
• USB. The interface for USB 2.0. Supports both low-speed and high-speed modes. USB support is built
into the controller. No installation is required for the USB function.
• NIB. The Ethernet interface connection. Ethernet support is built into the controller. No installation is
required for the Ethernet function.
• EEPROM. Stores the data for the SP code settings.
• NVRAM. The memory that stores the system configuration and other information.
