4-3-4. Focus Adjustment

Note:
• This adjustment, "4-3-5. Heater Voltage Adjustment"
and "4-3-6. Picture Frame Adjustment" affect each other.
Therefore, repeat these three adjustments until these
specifications are satisfied.
Equipment : Waveform monitor
Object
: Resolution chart
Preparations:
Shoot the resolution chart so that the chart frame is aligned
with the underscanned monitor frame.
(Viewfinder Monitor)
Adjust the iris of the lens so that the output level at VIDEO
OUT connector satisfies the level A.
A = 70 ±2 IRE (for NTSC)
A = 490 ±14 mV (for PAL)
BRIGHT control (on the viewfinder) → mechanical center
CONTRAST control (on the viewfinder) → mechanical
center
Adjustment procedures:
Measurement point : viewfinder
: 1RV2 (ANODE SET)/VF-60
Adjustment point
: Turn 1RV2 fully counterclock-
Specifications
wise, and slowly turn it clockwise
to adjust the best focus position.
Note:
After adjustment is completed, confirm that the focus
operation can be performed irrespective of its BRIGHT
and CONTRAST controls setting.

Note:
• This adjustment, "4-3-4. Focus Adjustment" and "4-3-6.
Picture Frame Adjustment" affect each other. Therefore,
repeat these three adjustments until these specifications
are satisfied.
Equipment : Digital voltmeter
Preparations:
BRIGHT control (on the viewfinder) → mechanical center
CONTRAST control (on the viewfinder) → mechanical
center
PEAKING control (on the viewfinder) → mechanical
center
Test point
: CN5-4pin/VF-60 board
CN5-5pin/VF-60 board
Adjustment point : 1RV8 (HEATER)/VF-60
: 700 ±10 mV dc
