Note:
• Perform this adjustment on the customer's preferences, if
necessary.
Equipment : Waveform monitor
Test Point : TEST OUT connector
Object
: Grayscale chart
Preparations:
• Connect the waveform monitor to the TEST OUT
connector.
• Shoot the grayscale chart so that the chart frame is
aligned with the underscanned monitor frame.
• RGB/ENC switch (on the side panel) → ENC
• ZEBRA switch (on the viewfinder) → ON
• Set the DISP switch (on the side panel) to MENU while
holding down the MENU SEL switch (on the front
panel). Set the menu as follows.
MENU : Paint
PAGE : Knee/W.Clip (P6)
: Knee → Off

Adjustment Procedures:
1. Adjust the auto white balance.
WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel) → A
AUTO W/B BAL switch (on the front panel) → WHT
2. Iris of the lens: A = 100 ±2 IRE (for NTSC)
A = 700 ±14 mV (for PAL)

3. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the zebra 1 level
by using the MENU SEL switch.

PAGE : Pre knee/Zebra (S4)
: Z.Disp → 1

Adjustment Point:
ITEM : Zebra1 [LEVEL]
Specifications: Adjust that the stripes appear at the
center of the portions A on the
viewfinder screen.
The area of the stripes can be
changed by ITEM: Zebla 1
[RANGE].

4. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the zebra 2 level
by using the MENU SEL switch.

: Z.Disp → 2

Specifications: Adjust that the stripes appear at the
center of the portions B on the
viewfinder screen.

Resetting after Adjustment:
• ZEBRA switch (on the viewfinder) → OFF
• WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel) → PRST
