6. Set the R/G/B switch (on the side panelüj to ENC.
7. Set the OUTPUT/DCC switch (on the side panel) to
CAM/OFF.
8. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the A/D gain for R
by using the MENU SEL switch.

9. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the A/D gain for B
by using the MENU SEL switch.

10. Repeat the steps 8 and 9 alternately until the specifica-
tions are satisfied.
File Store:
Execute the file store. Press the MENU SEL switch to
execute.

4-3-10. VA Gain Adjustment
Setting of Sensitivity and Standard Color Temperature:
• Use the reflective chart (reflection ratio:89.9%)in this
adjustment, if possible.
• If a pattern box is used, it should be well-maintained.
• Set the luminous intensity of the chart to 2000 lx and the
color temperature to 3200 K.
• This adjustment shall be performed at F7.0 or more.
Note:
• Never change the setting of the following trimmer
capacitors. These capacitors are extremely difficult to
adjust in the field.
VA-163 board :1CT200, 1CT300, 1CT400
Equipment : Oscilloscope, Waveform monitor
Object : Grayscale chart
Preparations:
• WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel) → PRST
• GAIN switch (on the side panel) → L (0 dB)
• Extend VA-163 board with EX-464 board.
• RGB/ENC switch (on the side panel) → ENC
Adjustment Procedures:
1. Set the DISP switch (on the side panel) to MENU
while holding down the MENU SEL switch (on the
front panel).
2. Set the menu as follows.

: Knee → Off

3. Close the lens iris.
4. Execute the level auto setup.
Press the MENU SEL switch to execute.

5. Confirm the black level is 3 IRE for NTSC and 21 mV
for PAL at the TEST OUT connector.
If the black level is out of specs, carry out "4-3-14.
