Configuring alarms
7.3 Configuring DB2 alarms
Result
The DB2 alarms have been imported and are displayed in the TIA Portal in two different
editors:
● Below the PLC in the "PLC alarms" editor.
● Below the WinCC RT Advanced or the SIMATIC Panel in the "HMI alarms" editor, "PLC
alarms" tab.

Displaying the alarm numbers in the editor "HMI alarms > Control alarms"
In the "HMI alarms" editor, the alarm numbers are only output as hexadecimal numbers by
default ("ID" column).
In order to view the alarm numbers in the usual decimal format, you have to display the
"Name" column:
Right-click the header of the table, then click "Show/Hide > Name" in the shortcut menu.
