Description
This command is used on the last hop router to decide whether to receive the multicast data from
the shared tree or switch over to the shortest path tree.
Format
config pim6 last_hop_spt_switchover [never | immediately]
Parameters
last_hop_spt_switchover - Specifies the SPT switchover mode on the last-hop switch.
never - Specifies that the mode will never switch to SPT. This is the default value.
immediately - Specifies that the mode will immediately switch to SPT.
Restrictions
Only Administrators, Operators and Power-Users can issue this command. (EI Mode Only
Command)
Example
To set the SPT-switchover mode to never:
DGS-3620-28PC:admin# config pim6 last_hop_spt_switchover never
Command: config pim6 last_hop_spt_switchover never
Success.
