Chapter 12. About NFS

This section describes how to configure NFS and manage data access using
ProtecTIER Manager.
Important: ProtecTIER FSI support is intended for storing backup images
produced by backup applications and not for primary storage deduplication.
The NFS interface to ProtecTIER for Linux/Unix clients is supported on a single
node ProtecTIER system. NFS can coexist with CIFS on the same repository, but
not in the same directory. In addition, an 8 way many-to-many replication
topology group is supported.

Working with NFS exports

To enable NFS access and share data, you must grant a host access to shared
directories by creating and configuring an NFS export. All the users within the
defined host have access to the export. Working with NFS exports sharing involves
tasks such as creating, modifying and deleting NFS exports.
