3-3. Faulty Scanner Assy

Step
1
Check parts with different specifications for problems with
usage, defective installation, breakage, and deformation.
• Main parts to be checked:
(1) ROS assy, (2) MCU PCB, (3) Harness assy ROS
(4) LVPS assy

(Check power supply of scanner assy) *1
Is 24 VDC being supplied between P/J12-13PIN
12PIN?

(Replace MCU PCB)
Does the problem occur even after the MCU PCB is replaced
with a normal one?

(Check harness assy ROS)
Is there conductivity between J12
*1: Check with the connector (P/J111) disconnected from the HVPS.

3-4. Faulty ROS Assy

Check parts with different specifications for problems with
usage, defective installation, breakage, and deformation.
• Main parts to be checked:
(1) ROS assy, (2) MCU PCB, (3) Harness assy ROS
(4) Harness assy SOS, (5) LVPS assy

(Check power supply of LD assy on ROS assy) *1
Is 5 VDC being supplied between P/J12-2PIN

(Check speed control signal of scanner motor) *1
When the power supply is turned on, is the voltage LOW (0
VDC) between P12-8PIN
VDC) between P12-9PIN

(Check power supply of SOS PCB on ROS assy) *1
Is 5 VDC being supplied between P/J19-3PIN

(Replace MCU PCB)
Does the problem occur even after the MCU PCB is replaced
with a normal one?

(Check conductivity of harness assy ROS)
Is there conductivity between J12

(Check conductivity of harness assy SOS)
Is there conductivity between J19
*1: Check with the connector (P/J111) disconnected from the HVPS.
Note: If the error message "CALL SERVICE 03" is displayed even after the ROS assy has been replaced, please check
according to the procedures outlined in Section 3-21, "Noise".
