(Obstruction of the laser beam path)
Is there any foreign matter or grime in the path of the laser beam
between the ROS assy and the drum?

(Faulty BTR assy)
Is there any foreign matter or grime on the BTR of the BTR
assy?

(Faulty separation)
Is the eliminator of the trans. chute assy securely grounded?
[Grounding route]

(Faulty EPX toner cartridge)
Does the problem stop occurring when the EPX toner cartridge
is replaced with a new one?
(If the problem is with the drum surface, the black lines will
appear at intervals of approximately 94 mm.)

(Faulty heat roll)
Are there any scratches, foreign matter, grime, or other irregu-
larities on the heat roll?
(Check this if the blank areas are occurring at intervals of
approximately 62 mm.)
Black lines on print
(This refers to printing in which lines appear in the paper transport direction. The
width of the lines in this case is less than 1 mm.)
Check parts with different specifications for problems with usage, defective
installation, breakage, deformation, and adhesion of grime or foreign matter.
• Main parts to be checked:
(1) EPX toner cartridge, (2) BTR assy, (3) Fuser assy, (4) Heat roll
(5) HVPS, (6) MCU PCB, (7) Trans. chute assy, (8) Wire assy eliminator
(9) ROS assy

TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
Initial check
Measure (if abnormal)
Remove any foreign matter or grime
obstructing the path of the laser beam
from the ROS assy to the drum.
Replace BTR assy.
Make sure there is good conductivity
along the grounding route.
LVPS
Replace EPX toner cartridge.
Replace heat roll.
