The power wheelchair can be equipped with various Recaro
seat models.
To adjust the back angle of a Recaro seat model, use the
rotary handle on the right or left side of the back rest (see
Fig. 44, item 2).

Adjusting the Recaro seat angle
A release handle is used to fold the backrest down and to-
wards the front (see Fig. 44, item 1). It is located on the side
of the back rest. By pulling the release handle upward, the
back rest can be folded down to the front. The back rest
automatically locks in place when it is brought into its initial
C1000 DS
position. Verify that the back rest is securely locked in place
every time it has been unlocked.
The Recaro seat can be equipped with an electric back an-
gle adjustment option. This function is activated using the
control unit in the "additional function" mode.
With the Recaro LT back rest, the lateral guide in the lumbar
section can be individually adjusted by turning the hand
wheel. Turning the wheel to the front evenly moves the two
lateral guides closer to each other. Turning the wheel to the
rear adjusts the two lateral guides away from each other.
Seat
The type X and W seats have an extendable pad at the
front. The lever used to adjust this pad is located below the
seat. Pull the lever up to shift the pad into the desired posi-
tion. The pad locks into place as soon as the adjustment le-
ver is released. The adjustment lever must audibly lock in
place and return to its initial position.
Headrest
The headrest is adjustable in both height and angle.
A second person is needed to remove the headrest. The
pressure points must be detected under the cover by feel
and pressed simultaneously (Figure 45). Now the second
person can pull the headrest up and out.
