 Battery replacement or changing the battery installa-
tion position may only be completed by a specialist
dealer.
 Replacement batteries must always be of the same
type (Ah & V).
 The charging profile of the battery charger established
at the factory corresponds to the battery included in
the scope of delivery and may not be altered inde-
pendently.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to electric current. Always remove the
fuse before doing any work on the batteries.
CAUTION
Risk of injury during tasks that involve lifting. The weight
of a battery is approximately 20 kg. Use hoisting devices of
sufficient capacity to remove or install the batteries or carry
out these tasks with the aid of an assistant.
NOTICE
Risk of battery damage due to falling. Hoisting devices
used for transportation must have a sufficient capacity.
Secure the batteries against falling.
C1000 DS
NOTICE
Risk of battery damage. Ensure correct polarity is used
when connecting the battery cables. The black cable must
be connected to the negative pole and the red cable to the
positive pole.
NOTICE
Risk of property damage due to improper maintenance
work on the batteries. All maintenance work may only be
completed by authorised personnel.
In its standard configuration, the power wheelchair is
equipped with two maintenance-free 12 V gel batteries with
a capacity of 63 Ah (C5). Further battery types are option-
ally available (see the section „Technical Data"). The batter-
ies are located beneath the seat of the power wheelchair.
