FUEL LINE INSPECTION

FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING
NOTE:
Before disconnecting fuel feed hose, relieve
pressure from Ihe system as following procedures.
Do not bend or twist the fuel feed hose.
1. Remove the side cover (page 2-4),
2 . Turn Ihe ignition switch OFF.
3. Pull the rubber

11] off the sub-fuel lank/fuel
pump assembly and disconnect the fuel pump 2P
(Black) connector (2].
4. Start the engine, and let it idle until the it stalls.
5. Turn Ihe ignition switch OFF.
6 . Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable
(page 21-8).
QUICK CONNECT FITTING REMOVAL
NOTE:
• Do not bend or twist the fuel feed hose.

1. Relive the fuel pressure (page 7-6).
2. Check the fuel quick connect fitting [1] for dirt, and
clean if necessary.
Place a shop towel (21 over the quick connect fitting .
