Before installing a new fuel pump filter, check thai there
is no
dirt
or dust on the fuel pump unit {11.
If
necessary.
clean the fuel pump unit with compressed
air.
NOTE:
Place a shop towel over the fuel pump unit to
prevent dirt from entering the feed pipe 12J and
suction
port
[3).
Do
not blow compressed air directly into the feed
pipe or suction
port.

Install a new fuel pump fitter [1) to the fuel pump unit

whife aligning the holes for the suction
port
[2].
Hold the bottom of the fuel pump filter [1] as shown and
push in until
it
is fully seated on the fuel pump unit
holder 12].
Engage the fuel pump filter hook [3] to the fuel pump
unit holder boss [4] by turning the fuel pump filter
counterclockwise.
Make sure the fuel pump unit holder [1) securely
connected and that the locking tabs [2J are firmly locked [11
into place.
